World Central Kitchen | Founded by Chef José Andrés

World Central Kitchen (WCK) was founded by chef and humanitarian José Andrés with the belief that food can be a powerful agent of positive change. Since responding to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico in September 2017, WCK has been cooking around the world every single day to not only provide fresh, nourishing meals to people affected by and responding to disasters, but as food first responders, to offer a sense of hope, dignity, and a sign that someone cares. WCK also works long-term to build more resilient and sustainable food systems by supporting farmers, fishers and small specialty food producers, and other Resilience Programs including chef training and clean cooking initiatives. The leadership in action demonstrated by Chef Andrés and his team at WCK exemplify Keystone’s values to foster collaborative and sustainable outcomes.
